The Jetstream 5 air starter motor is engineered to start engines up to 80 litres. Its rugged design and high-grade materials provide outstanding resistance to wear and damage, making it an excellent choice for demanding applications.

Marine and offshore ready

The Jetstream 5’s durable construction and corrosion resistance make it particularly suited to marine and offshore environments where reliability is critical.

Inertia or pre-engaged starting

- Inertia starters: Engage by immediately rotating the pinion upon activation. If the pinion collides with the ring gear, a mechanism allows it to bounce and retry until engagement is successful.
- Pre-engaged starters: Eliminate gear clash by sliding the pinion into full engagement with the ring gear before rotation begins. Once engaged, full pneumatic pressure is released to crank the engine.

ATEX-approved for hazardous environments

The Jetstream 5 conforms to ATEX EN1834-1 and EN1834-2, ensuring suitability for explosive gas atmospheres and combustible dust environments such as underground mining. Safety is enhanced by its cast iron construction and pre-engaged design, which removes the risk of sparks.

Flexible and low-maintenance

Available with integrated relay valve, exhaust adaptors, and mufflers to reduce fitting time. Operating at low (3 bar), medium (10 bar), or high (30 bar) inlet pressures, the Jetstream 5 is virtually maintenance-free and requires no lubrication. An optional beryllium-copper non-spark pinion provides further safety in hazardous conditions.
